There are many different Styles of Acupuncture

There are the styles associated with different countries. Prominent among them is Chinese of course, Japanese and Korean. And then there is 5-element. And then there are different systems with their own way of doing things. And of course there are the micro-systems.Each has its advantages and disadvantages. Every acupuncturist gravitates to their own way of doing things according to their interests and schooling.

I was trained in TCM with a mix of Japanese and the micro-systems of the ear, hand and scalp. We were not taught that much about electro-acupuncture. I have always liked to know how things work which is why I became an engineer first. So I had to figure it out on my own. I do things now the way I have found works the best for me. I also think I understand why it works and have adapted my techniques to that knowledge and have found that it makes things work better. That knowledge has allowed me to also make up new treatments that have also worked. I decided to use my time recovering from my stroke to write. My book is the first one I finished. It pretty much has all I have learned that I was not taught. My electrical engineering background was useful since it turns out that acupuncture depends on several bio-electrical phenomenon for how it works. I made this website to share that knowledge. To let acupuncturists know why things work the way they do and to share new helpful techniques. Idon’t claim to know everything, but what I do know has proven quite useful.
