Intermittent

This is mostly used to stimulate muscles and give them a period of rest. Here the stimulation time is divided into 10 or 15 second intervals. It could be also used to prevent the adaptation response. I don’t use this hardly at all. The last time I did was to treat myself to try and wake up a muscle from my stroke. It worked the muscle but did not wake it up. To strengthen or treat spasmy muscles, I use continuous stimulation with a frequency that either increases or decreases muscle tone. I would also use other treatments depending on what is going on. This could be using an acupuncture point that affects a certain muscle group or FSM to stimulate downward inhibition signals in the spinal chord toi halp prevent spasms.
